International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

Be Bold For Change

Thousands of events occur not just on this day but throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. Organizations, governments, charities and women’s groups around the world choose different themes each year that reflect global and local gender issues.

  • Monday, March 6th:  ZC of Kitchener-Waterloo Sampling of a dinner of international specialties from local restaurants.  Guest speaker is Lisa Chicules, Chief Communications Officer, Plan.

  • Wednesday, March 8th:  ZC of Brampton-Caledon Annual Breakfast.  Featured Speaker is  PRP Constable Joy Brown on Human Trafficking in Peel.

  • Wednesday, March 8th:  ZC of Oakville & Women of Halton Movement 14th Annual Dinner Party.  5:30 pm at the Burlington Convention Centre.  Keynote Speaker:  Candy Palmater            thedinnerpartyiwd.ca
