Conference Fundraising

The 56th Zonta District 4 Centennial Conference on September 27-29, 2019 in Buffalo, NY will soon be here! Once again we are asking clubs to participate in the Amelia Earhart Fellowship Silent Basket Auction Fundraiser and we are adding a small item raffle. At the last District 4 Conference in 2017, every club in District 4 participated in this event! We hope we can count on your club to take part in this very successful district fundraiser.

Silent Auction Basket:

Each club is asked to donate a basket with a value of $100- $150. On the outside of the basket there should be a tag with the club name and a list of items in the basket. If your club prefers to donate a check for $100 in lieu of a club basket for the silent auction, we will gladly accept a check. Checks should be made out to Zonta District 4 and will be included in our donation to Zonta International’s Amelia Earhart Fellowship.

 Small Item Raffle (New):

Any Zonta member may donate a small item, with a value of $50, which will be entered into the drawing. Raffle tickets will be sold for 20 tickets for $10.00.

Please contact Donna Ketchum-Colletta or Holly Anderson, District 4 Amelia Earhart Co-Chairs, by September 1, 2019 and let them know if your club will be donating a basket or a check. Your response will help our committee to have the correct number of tables ready to display the beautiful baskets. If no member of your club will be attending the District 4 Centennial Conference, please make arrangements with a neighboring club to transport your basket or club’s check.

At the Conference Registration table, directions will be given as to where to drop off your club’s Amelia Earhart Basket or the donation check. Both the Silent Auction and Small Item Raffle will close on Saturday evening. It is preferred that items be paid for and removed Saturday evening.
