GOVERNOR’S UPDATE: WORKSHOP CANCELLATIONS on April 4th & 25th, 2020
Dear District 4 Zontians,
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that the Zonta Clubs of Brampton-Caledon and Oil City-Franklin have had to cancel their Area Workshops: Building for Our Future on April 4th and April 25th respectively. Both Clubs’ Boards & members’ committees plus Governor-Elect & Workshop Chair, Janice Durmis and Areas 2 & 6 Directors Nita McCown & Ann Marie West have seriously considered the Coronavirus’ implications in coming to this decision. This is unfortunate and we apologize for the disappointment. Our members’ health & welfare are always our main consideration.
No one will be “out” any money spent to attend the Workshop. The Clubs will reimburse everyone for their registrations. Registration checks will be destroyed. The club will reimburse those who used e-Transfer by mailing checks to them. Please note that reimbursement of e-Transfers to Brampton-Caledon will be delayed two weeks due to a vacationing treasurer. The Clubs will cancel all the reservations made for hotel rooms in the Zonta Blocks. Any rooms reserved outside the block will need to be cancelled by those who made them.
Hamburg-Orchard Park Workshop for Areas 3 & 4 on May 9th has now been cancelled.
We thank the clubs of Brampton-Caledon, Oil City-Franklin and Hamburg-Orchard Park for their hard work on preparation for the Workshop & for putting the welfare of our members first in their decision making.
To all of our valued members, we thank you for your understanding & consideration during these difficult times.
Keep well & Take care of your families,
Bonnie Clesse, District 4 Governor
